This is the first song I arranged. I think we did it on a whim, perhaps because we wanted to try something Asian and different from the Shostakovich quartet we were practicing.
I still remember my orchestra teacher looking at the score and saying: “It’s interesting how you used 2 codas.” (something like that)
2nd song I arranged. I think we suddenly decided that we wanted a singer in this too, so we quickly did this during one of our study sessions. This was filmed after the “end of study session” bell rang so there’s some talking.
I arranged this one for our church’s Thanksgiving. Originally, I only had a violin and cello part arranged, but on the night before, we realized that the piano arrangement we found online didn’t follow the original song.
