Socal Trip Day 2: Universal Studios

8 08 2010

First theme park we went to was Universal Studios. Overall, it was a pretty fun experience. I watched so many Universal Studios movies (Jaws, Psycho, Terminator, etc.) before the trip so I would understand most of the trip

The famous Universal Studios globe and entrance.

For some reason >.> We were just so stupid to go to the House of Horrors first. I don’t have pics of it, but this was the first haunted house that’s actually scared me and I don’t get surprised easily. I swear, I kept thinking “how much longer is this going to be???” The worst part was, the walkway was so narrow that only 2 people could walk together at one time….When the Wolfman popped out in the forest-ish scene, I heard my mom scream for the first time.

This is the new Krustyland (related to Simpsons) 4D ride. They replaced the old Back to the Future ride. That’s ok though, because I like the Simpsons ride too

They had a Kwik-E-Mart next to Krustyland.

Haha, they sold Duff and Flamin Moe’s Energy Drinks

Guess who I met in the Special Effects Stage? Anyone recognize him? It’s the competitive neighbor from Hannah Montana!! One of the Vogts >.> (not sure which) I got to ask him a few questions about the show too but I can’t reveal them for personal reasons

Shrek 4D (ride): apparently, Lord Farqua from Shrek comes back alive as a ghost…

This ride my favorite part of Universal Studios… The Studio Tour. But I don’t remember the line being SO LONG. It took about 1hr 30 min to get to the tram. Insane right? And this time, Norman Bates didn’t come out of the Bates Motel :/ Maybe Universal is too poor to hire a new one. The tram backlot tour was different than before. Not only because King Kong and a bunch of other buildings got burned down… It just felt like there was less interactive stuff. :/

Animal Actors chimpanzee. Overall a funny show :]

That’s about it for Universal Studios. We also watched Waterworld the show and the Blue Brothers. It was a pretty good review of Universal Studios for missing out on the changes from my elementary school years (9 yrs+) The famous Jurassic Park Ride is still there. My most favorite water ride EVER. The only disappointing ride in the park was The Mummy. Yeah…not very creative. I disliked the neon ghosts as well as how short it was.
