personal life: freaky dream

Last night, I had a pretty freaky and weird dream: I had a dream that I died and came back as a ghost. Like, I woke the next day and was a ghost. I knew i was a ghost because when I tried taking a picture of myself, I showed up with the clothes i had on the “night” i was killed. It was really weird, cuz i found out there were 6 other people that were ghosts, but no one knew. (by the way this didn’t take place in my own school). I remember asking another ghost how he could just keep walking through stuff. I remember I knew he was a ghost because i saw him walking through someone while coming out of a class. Then I found out there were 6 ghosts at the school. I had to defeat one of them in order to remain a ghost and not disappear. I never got to the end of the dream because I was fighting a guy with red hair and pale skin and I kept dodging him.

Personally, I think this piece is quite haunting/eerie/relaxing all in one. =w= This is what makes Beethoven one awesome and intense composer. Enjoy!

 

So, Halloween is coming up tomorrow! I wonder if I’m going trick-or-treating. ^^ It’d be my last year as a “child” to do so.

Movie Review: Zoolander

I finished watching the movie, Zoolander, this morning.

Quick Summary: There is a man called Mugatu who wants to kill the prime minister of Malaysia. He has controlled many “stupid” male models before and brainwashed them to killing previous world leaders. The main character is a man called Derek Zoolander. He is a fairly stupid, male supermodel that lost his “could-have-been” 4th time of winning Male Model of the Year. However, he is defeated by Hansel, a newcomer supermodel. Derek hates Hansel for most of the movie until somewhere close the end, where they finally make up to each other. Anyways, Mugatu wants to take advantage of Derek’s loss to want to make him his next killing machine. Pretty much, Derek is brainwashed by Mugatu. Well, don’t want to spoil anymore…

Overall, this movie is full of stupid humor (i.e. the gasoline fight scene between his friends, the part where he saw the model of the learning center and thought it was the real one, many more…).  I thought some parts entertained me and made me laugh, but other parts I thought were so stupid it wasn’t funny. It’s not a bad movie if you’re feeling down.

personal life: some complaints

today was not a very good day. I got very upset at my violin lesson… I didn’t show it to my teacher, but my brain was very stressed. I complained for a long time to my mom and my sister about the lesson. I can’t help disliking the way my current violin teacher teachers. My progression feels incredibly slow compared to beforehand. I wish i could change my childhood and fix everything, so I wouldn’t be stuck at this school. I can’t wait to transfer.

Ah, yes. Bach’s Tocatta and Fugue in d minor. One of the most brilliant, dark pieces ever written in my opinion. I’m sure this theme is very familiar to many people, since it is used in several movies and ads.

personal life: first time to a haunted house

Today was the first time I ever went to a walking haunted house. It was provided by one of our school’s Greek Life groups (I think  Delta Upsilon). I thought some parts were pretty scary and I got freaked out maybe a few times. When we left the haunted house, it felt really weird to be outside… maybe because it felt so bright. Some of the features they had were funny, like one part, a random guy got captured and I guess there was a process with it– The guy gets captured, then drilled apart, then placed onto one of those ritual circles with the star of David on it. @__@ one part was really random– static-y TV and a person on a rocking chair.

Overall, this was well worth the $3 i paid. It was pretty fun and I’m glad i went. ^o^ i’m excited and can’t wait to go to another walking haunted house again

This is a music video my Chinese teacher showed our class over this summer. We were all in to scary stories and things so our teacher decided to show us this video. It’s only creepy in the beginning, and isn’t scary anymore later on in the music video. Enjoy!

personal life: freshman 15 problem :(

Ever since i got to college, I’ve noticed a quite large change in the size of my tummy. Even though I don’t usually eat junk food or overeat, I think the size might be due mostly to the lack of exercise, since most of my classes are only 3-5 minutes away from my dorm.
So, for this week, I set a goal to do at least 30 minutes of cardio everyday. If this goes well, I think I will try to go for a month of cardio and so on. I think I will also try to start breakdancing again if the cardio goes well.

Anyways 頑張る!

How do you deal with the Freshman 15 or unhealthy weight gains in general? Do you have any advice or past methods that worked?
